What now?
We are proposing to create locational catchment systems near the different māla on campus to make it more convenient to utilize the water, rather than struggling to find ways to transport the water from ʻAkahi down to the dorms, Keoua, the elementary campus and Keanakamanō.
We found this starter kit online and it would be perfect for our project.

This kit would provide us with the pieces needed to alter our gutters as well as connect them to any bin that we want. It would allow us to make them into fully functioning water catchment systems. If we install these near the māla on campus, students would be able to collect the rain water and utilize that water instead of water from our school well, therefore using more sustainable water practices.
We hope that our data and evidence will be enough to show administration that this is a reasonable and realistic way of lessening our water usage in the landscaping region, and making Kamehameha a better and more sustainable place.
